BDO Corporate Center Makati: A New Landmark Rising

Building the Future: BDO marks a new chapter in Makati

BDO Chairperson Teresita Sy-Coson and BDO President and CEO Nestor V. Tan led a time capsule-laying ceremony on November 15, 2024, marking the commencement of construction of the new BDO Corporate Center Makati.

The Makati complex joins BDO Corporate Center Ortigas in Pasig and the soon-to-open BDO Corporate Center Cebu.

Sustainability drives eco-friendly, cost-efficient, and resilient design for future generations. All these contribute to global efforts to mitigate climate change and create healthier and more inclusive communities.

Merging five plots, the hub has two towers and an annex with an exoskeleton design for open, pillar-free spaces. Embodied carbon and whole lifecycle carbon management have been integrated into the design. The structure saves 65,000 tons of concrete, improves seismic safety, cuts energy by 40%, and recycles 70% of water.

The design features 75% green rooftops, an urban farm, an auditorium, and event spaces, fostering inclusivity. Inside the building, workspaces will encourage collaboration and interaction, with flexible office spaces, trading floors, and business hubs. The center also includes areas for client engagement to facilitate a more personalized approach.

British architectural firm Foster + Partners designed the structure, with its structural and environmental engineering, landscaping, and interiors embodying a vision built for the future. Construction is led by DATEM, a Philippine firm known for its experience with green buildings.
