The MICHELIN Guide has expanded to Manila, Environs, and Cebu, celebrating the region’s vibrant culinary scene. The selection will highlight exceptional restaurants across Metro Manila, Cebu, and areas like Pampanga and Cavite. MICHELIN Inspectors are assessing these regions to showcase chefs who innovate while respecting Filipino culinary traditions.

“Our inspectors are excited by Filipino cuisine’s evolution, blending tradition with global influences,” said Gwendal Poullennec. “Manila features young chefs reinterpreting Filipino cuisine, while Cebu offers world-class hospitality and diverse dining experiences.”

The Philippines offers a dynamic food culture, blending regional dishes with global influences. From Manila’s distinct flavors to Cebu’s rich hospitality, the culinary scene continues to evolve. Iconic dishes like Cebu’s lechon highlight Filipino cuisine’s bold, global appeal.

The arrival of the MICHELIN Guide will elevate Filipino cuisine globally, expanding recognition of the country’s food culture. The Department of Tourism (DOT) fully supports the MICHELIN Guide’s arrival in the Philippines. Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco stated, “This recognition celebrates Filipino cuisine’s creativity, diversity, and its growing importance to tourism.”

The MICHELIN Guide will assess restaurants using five key criteria: ingredient quality, cooking techniques, flavor balance, personality, and consistency.

The restaurant selection will include prestigious MICHELIN Stars and the Bib Gourmand, recognizing both quality and value.

The full 2026 Guide for Manila, Environs, and Cebu will be announced in late 2025. It will be available digitally on the MICHELIN Guide’s official platforms.
