Made in Philippines (MIPH) and Oasis Gaming emerged victorious in Dota 2 and VALORANT, respectively, in the Predator League 2024 Philippine Finals held in SM North EDSA Cyberzone on November 11 and 12. The victories gave the two teams each a Predator Shield and the honor of representing the Philippines at the upcoming Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals in January 2024.
For the Dota 2 grand final, Made in Philippines faced Smurfers, which beat Wong “ChuaN” Hock Chuan and Ryan “Raging Potato” Qui-led Neon Esports with a 2-1 reverse sweep. Meanwhile, MIPH had a masterful 2-0 sweep of InterActive Philippines.
In the final, Made in Philippines also swept Smurfers, 2-0 to clinch the title and the Php250,000 cash pot. The runner-up received Php100,000. Neon Esports and InterActive Philippines each received Php55,000.
In the VALORANT championship, Oasis Gaming overcame a 1-0 deficit to get past NAOS Esports, 2-1, in the semifinals. Meanwhile, ZOL Esports overpowered Valhalla in a three-game slugfest to face Oasis in the final. The Oasis team breezed past ZOL Esports, 2-0, to win the championship.
Oasis Gaming received Php250,000 in cash, while ZOL was awarded Php100,000. NAOS Esports and Valhalla each received Php55,000.
For the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on January 13 -14, 2024, Made in Philippines is expected to face intense competition from other powerhouse Dota 2 teams in the region, including Blacklist International, Execration, and defending Asia Pacific Predator League champions Polaris Esports. Meanwhile, Oasis Gaming and ZOL Esports will also face the Filipino-led Team Secret, one of the most revered teams in the VCT Pacific League.
The stage is all set for the Philippine representatives of the upcoming Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals, where 26 teams from across the Asia Pacific region will battle it out for the honor and prestige of being named the next APAC Predator League champions.
