For ten years, the KK Awards Kasambahays program has shone a light on the often unseen heroes of Filipino households. Now in its 10th year, the Kasambahay, Kasambuhay Awards (KK Awards) honored the dedication, loyalty, and everyday sacrifices of kasambahays who help keep Filipino families strong and secure.
A joint initiative of the Palawan Group of Companies and JCI Senate Philippines, the program reflects a shared mission to uplift everyday Filipinos and recognize the vital role kasambahays play in building resilient homes and communities.
A Decade of Honoring Service and Commitment
This milestone year recognized 20 outstanding kasambahays from the 2024 and 2025 award cycles. Each honoree received ₱100,000 in cash and access to a TESDA scholarship, which may be used personally or extended to their families.

More than an award, the KK Awards Kasambahays initiative opens doors to education, livelihood opportunities, and long-term growth—empowering kasambahays beyond their years of service.
2024 and 2025 KK Awards Kasambahays Honorees
The 2024 awardees are Beth Papa, Randy Ballena Tapel, Ellen Rose Mabanta, Lyrie Jean Embang, Rowena Duque Brimon, Luzviminda Camitan, Baby Marecres Brazal, Lourdes Varquez, Mari Rose Batacao, and Wencesa Flores.
The 2025 awardees include Adelaida Caquilagan Cabagua, Maria R. Rubia, Rosalinda Resco, Ma. Victoria F. Enero, Arceli Buling, Kent Lemuel Holoyohoy Pahimutang, Jean Gapol Macarayo, Judith Caras, Ma. Lyn Alipo-on, and Crystal Gale Pallugna.
Each honoree represents years of dedication, trust, and care—often treating the families they serve as their own.

Palawan Group’s Commitment to Kasambahays
Palawan Group President and CEO Karlo M. Castro emphasized the Filipino values at the heart of the program.
“Kasambahays are the quiet heroes of Filipino homes. Their work brings stability, safety, and peace of mind to families every day. Through this initiative, we want them to know they are seen, valued, and truly appreciated.”
With over 40 years of service, the Palawan Group remains the country’s most trusted pawnshop and remittance company. Kasambahays are among its most loyal sukis, regularly using services like pawning, load purchase, remittances, and now PalawanPay, one of the fastest-growing e-wallet apps in the Philippines.
Recognizing Leadership and Resilience
JCI Senate Philippines National Executive Vice President Mylene M. Dayrit shared that the KK Awards Kasambahays program recognizes kasambahays as everyday leaders.
“Their work may often go unseen, but it shapes the foundation of our homes and society.”
For the first time, the awards also honored Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) serving as household helpers, recognizing the same resilience and dedication shown by local kasambahays. Nominations were made more accessible through PalawanPay, allowing submissions anytime, anywhere.
Uplifting Communities One Kasambahay at a Time
Palawan Group Deputy Chairman and Co-founder Angelita M. Castro highlighted the program’s deeper purpose.
“Iba ang aruga ng Pinoy. Makikita ito sa kung paano inaalagaan ng mga kasambahay ang pamilyang kanilang pinaglilingkuran.”

Through sustained recognition and meaningful support, the KK Awards Kasambahays program continues to empower individuals, strengthen families, and foster a culture of gratitude across the Philippines.
