She’s all set to grace the screen in ‘Damsel,’ one of the exciting original movies coming soon to the streaming platform.
Netflix just dropped a captivating poster for the upcoming film, featuring Millie Bobby Brown in a powerful stance, brandishing a sword to face off against monsters. The poster boldly declares, “This is not a fairytale,” heightening the anticipation for the movie’s release.
The caption adds a playful touch, stating, “Millie is out to slay (the monster) in Damsel on 8 March, only on Netflix.”
‘Damsel’ seeks to flip the script on the traditional ‘damsel in distress’ narrative. Brown takes on the role of Princess Elodie, initially a dutiful damsel chosen for marriage to a charming prince by her queen. However, her world takes a twist when she discovers she’s being used as a sacrifice to settle an ancient debt. The story unfolds as she finds herself thrust into a perilous cave with a fire-breathing dragon, marking the beginning of her fight for survival.
Apart from the talented 19-year-old actress, ‘Damsel’ boasts a stellar cast, including Angela Bassett as Lady Bayford (Elodie’s stepmother), Robin Wright as Queen Isabelle, Ray Winstone as the King, Nick Robinson as Prince Henry, and Brooke Carter as Floria, Henry’s younger sister.
