Global crypto exchange Bitget is spotlighting women who are shaping blockchain education in the Philippines through its Bitget Blockchain4Her initiative.
Launched to promote gender inclusion in Web3, Bitget Blockchain4Her focuses on empowering women through education-first programs, grassroots partnerships, and community-led initiatives. The program supports individuals who are helping expand blockchain literacy while encouraging responsible participation in the growing digital economy.
The Philippines has become a key environment for these initiatives due to its strong grassroots technology communities and rapidly expanding digital adoption.

Building a More Inclusive Web3 Community
Through Bitget Blockchain4Her, the company aims to close the gender gap in blockchain and Web3 technologies.
The initiative promotes access to education and opportunities that allow women to participate not only as users but also as builders, educators, and community leaders in the Web3 ecosystem.
According to Gracy Chen, empowering women through knowledge is central to the program’s mission.
“We started Blockchain4Her to create a safe space and build confidence for women to imagine a future in Web3,” Chen said. “Seeing women in the Philippines take ownership of education and community-building shows what inclusion looks like when it begins at the grassroots level.”

Filipino Advocates Leading Web3 Education
Several Filipino advocates have become prominent voices in promoting responsible blockchain education through Bitget Blockchain4Her.
Among them is Bea Llana, co-founder of Buhayin. Llana has focused on connecting blockchain innovation with real-world community opportunities, particularly in underserved island regions.
Her work emphasizes how blockchain can support access to economic participation through education and connectivity.
“There wasn’t one defining moment,” Llana explained. “Working closely with communities showed how thoughtfully applied blockchain technology can support access and participation.”
Education at the Center of Web3 Adoption
Another advocate recognized through Bitget Blockchain4Her is Arshelene Lingao, also known as Tita Arsh.
Lingao has concentrated on improving Web3 literacy among Filipino youth and underserved communities. Together with Bitget’s Blockchain4Youth initiative, she developed the Young Learners’ Encyclopedia, a resource designed to explain blockchain concepts in an accessible and age-appropriate way.
“Too many young people enter crypto without honest guidance,” Lingao said. “Education helps them see Web3 as a space for learning and creativity, not hype.”
Creating Safer Learning Communities for Beginners
Web3 educator MaryWave has also played an important role in building education-focused trading communities.
Through her work at Wave3, MaryWave promotes structured learning environments that teach risk awareness, market discipline, and responsible trading.
Her approach aligns with the goals of Bitget Blockchain4Her, which emphasizes knowledge and long-term understanding rather than short-term speculation.
“What was missing was structure and honest education,” MaryWave said. “When people understand the market, confidence replaces fear.”
Expanding Global Blockchain Education Efforts
The Bitget Blockchain4Her initiative is part of Bitget’s broader global commitment to expanding blockchain education and digital literacy.
The program complements Bitget’s partnerships with organizations such as UNICEF, which focus on providing digital skills and blockchain learning opportunities for young people and underserved communities worldwide.
In markets like the Philippines, community-led education continues to play a critical role in shaping responsible Web3 adoption.
By supporting advocates and educators at the grassroots level, Bitget Blockchain4Her aims to ensure that more women gain access to opportunities in the evolving digital economy.
