Kapitbisig, Kapitbahay! 7-Eleven: Turning Off Lights, Turning On Change

In celebration of Earth Hour 2025, 7-Eleven Philippines is set to turn off the lights in over 4,000 stores nationwide on March 22, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM. This initiative highlights the company’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. During Earth Hour, although the lights will be turned off, all 7-Eleven stores will remain open and fully operational, continuing to serve their customers while actively participating in this global event.

As part of its ongoing environmental sustainability efforts, 7-Eleven has been integrating various initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint. One notable effort is the “Good Coffee, Good Habits” campaign, which encourages customers to bring reusable cups to reduce single-use plastic waste. This campaign aims to promote a more eco-friendly approach to enjoying coffee, making it convenient for customers to make a positive impact on the environment.

In addition to the coffee campaign, 7-Eleven has introduced other sustainable practices in its stores. For instance, the company has been promoting the “Bring Your Own Bag” policy, which encourages customers to reduce plastic consumption by bringing their own bags when shopping. Moreover, 7-Eleven is making strides in reducing food waste, offering discounts on food items that are close to their expiration date, and collaborating with organizations to distribute excess food to those in need.

In some of their newer store locations, 7-Eleven has also adopted the use of renewable energy, such as solar panels, to power operations. One example is the store in Pampanga, which utilizes solar energy to help lower its environmental impact.

Through these initiatives, 7-Eleven Philippines continues to make strides toward a greener, more sustainable future, encouraging customers and communities to join them in making environmentally conscious decisions.
