TCL Philippines, the country’s No. 1 panel TV brand and the global leader in air conditioner sales, has officially rolled out its Air Conditioning Training Program in partnership with the TESDA Regional Training Center–NCR. This initiative marks a major milestone in TCL’s mission to empower future-ready Filipino technicians and elevate technical training standards in the country.
The newly inaugurated TCL–TESDA Center in Taguig City will serve as a dedicated training hub, providing hands-on experience in air conditioning technology. This collaboration aims to strengthen the local talent pool, enhance employability, and drive long-term workforce productivity in the HVAC sector.

Hands-On Skills for Real-World Impact
The TCL–TESDA Training Program gives aspiring technicians a unique opportunity to gain practical experience using industry-standard tools and equipment. The one-day training, held at the flagship TESDA–TCL Center, covered essential topics on air conditioning repair, installation, and maintenance.
“This marks a special milestone — our very first TCL–TESDA Training Program,” said Joseph Cernitchez, Brand Manager of TCL Philippines. “We’re proud to welcome our pioneer batch and help equip a new generation of skilled workers who can soon join TCL’s authorized service centers.”
The sessions were led by TCL’s Product and Service Teams, including Vincent Tobias (Assistant Product Manager – Air Conditioner), Cristobal Bacanto Jr. (HVAC Engineer), Wyette Paul Pre (Training Officer), and Paul Andrew Anisco (Whitelines Supervisor).

Training with Industry-Leading Technology
During the program, trainees explored TCL’s air conditioning innovations, including the FreshIN and VoxIN technologies that improve indoor air quality and comfort. In addition, participants learned about TCL’s smart features such as Voice Command and the TCL Home App, giving them exposure to the latest smart appliance systems in the market.
The training combined classroom sessions and technical workshops, ensuring that participants mastered both theoretical concepts and practical applications.
“This program combines knowledge, skills, and real-world opportunities,” said Eugene P. Agcaoili, Center Administrator of TESDA RTC–NCR. “TCL is helping open employment pathways for trainees through its service centers and networks.”

Certification and Future Opportunities
Twenty-five trainees completed the inaugural TCL–TESDA session and received certificates of completion, formally recognizing their achievements. The certificates were presented by TESDA officials — Jerry O. Taroy (Supervising TESDA Specialist) and Eugene P. Agcaoili, together with TCL’s leadership team.
The certification not only validates their new skills but also provides an edge when applying for roles in TCL’s partner service centers nationwide.
At the culmination event, TESDA presented a Plaque of Appreciation to TCL Philippines, recognizing its contribution to advancing technical education and supporting the government’s workforce development goals.
Building a Skilled Future for Filipinos
By launching the TCL–TESDA Training Program, TCL reinforces its role as a key industry enabler in the Philippines. Through education and innovation, it’s helping create a sustainable talent pipeline for the air conditioning and appliance service sector.
“This program reflects our shared vision with TESDA — to empower Filipino talent through training and innovation,” said Vincent Tobias, Assistant Product Manager for Air Conditioners. “It ensures a reliable, future-proof workforce for the air conditioning industry.”
Through this partnership, TCL continues to support the Philippine government’s workforce development and digital innovation agenda, contributing to a stronger, more competitive labor force for the future.
