The Palawan Group of Companies reinforced its deep-rooted partnership with the Ilonggo community as an official sponsor of Palawan Group Dinagyang Festival 2026, one of the Philippines’ most vibrant celebrations of faith, identity, and unity.
Held in Iloilo City, Dinagyang Festival 2026 brought together Ilonggo families, workers, entrepreneurs, and balikbayans from across the country and overseas. For the Palawan Group, the celebration underscored the strategic importance of the Visayas—particularly Iloilo—as a key growth region for the brand’s expanding financial services.

Award-Winning Presence at the Parade of Lights
As part of its Dinagyang Festival 2026 participation, the Palawan Group joined the much-anticipated Floats Parade of Lights on January 23. The company’s float featured floral elements and symbolic animal figures surrounding the image of Señor Sto. Niño, reflecting devotion and cultural pride.
The float earned First Runner Up at the Dinagyang Festival 2026 Parade of Lights, marking the Palawan Group’s fourth consecutive year of recognition. A Dinagyang participant since 2007, the company’s consistent presence reflects long-standing unity and shared pride with the Ilonggo community.
Bringing the Celebration Closer to the Community
Beyond the parade, Palawan Group Dinagyang Festival 2026 activities included on-ground engagements designed to connect more closely with festivalgoers. One of the highlights was the Golden Caravan, a special jewelry-selling event held from January 22 to 25 along Bonifacio Drive. The activation featured curated jewelry pieces, interactive activities, and prizes that added to the festive atmosphere.

These activities allowed Ilonggos and visitors to experience Palawan Group’s offerings in a more personal and engaging way during the height of the celebration.
Dinagyang Promos for Ilonggo Sukis
In line with Dinagyang Festival 2026, the Palawan Group rolled out localized promos across Iloilo branches and on PalawanPay. These included libreng interest on sangla, discounts on select rematado jewelry items, and ProtekTODO micro-insurance options designed to provide financial protection beyond the festival season.
Select PalawanPay users also received vouchers to encourage faster, safer, and more convenient cashless transactions—reinforcing the brand’s commitment to accessible financial services for everyday needs.
A Partnership Built on Faith and Trust
“Dinagyang has always been a celebration of faith, unity, and resilience—values that deeply resonate with who we are as a company,” said Karlo M. Castro, President and CEO of the Palawan Group. He added that the company’s participation reflects its role as a reliable kasangga that Ilonggos can depend on for daily financial needs and future aspirations.
Chief Marketing Officer Bernard V. Kaibigan echoed this, noting that the Palawan Group’s continued growth in VisMin is grounded in understanding how communities actually use and experience its services.

Deep Roots in Iloilo and Beyond
Now on its 19th year of participation in the Dinagyang Festival, the Palawan Group continues to demonstrate its long-term commitment to the province. Palawan Pawnshop–Palawan Express Pera Padala currently operates 113 branches across Iloilo and 8 branches in Guimaras, supported by nearly 700 associates delivering serbisyong may malasakit every day.
Through Palawan Group Dinagyang Festival 2026, the company celebrated Ilonggo culture while reaffirming its mission to provide reliable, accessible financial services—supporting communities whether they are celebrating, running small businesses, sending money to loved ones, or planning for the future.
