Nestlé Philippines Partners with Mober to Decarbonize Logistics

Driving Sustainability, Delivering the Future

24 January 2025, Manila, Philippines — Nestlé Philippines, the world’s largest food and beverage company, has joined forces with Mober, a leader in green logistics services in the Philippines, to integrate electric vehicles (EVs) into its mid- and last-mile delivery operations. This collaboration supports Nestlé’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 while advancing its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives.

As part of the partnership, Mober will provide electric trucks (e-trucks) to support Nestlé Philippines’ logistics operations across Metro Manila.

To ensure efficient and sustainable operations, Mober has installed a 60 kWh EV charging station at Nestlé’s Greater Manila Area (GMA) Distribution Center in Meycauayan, Bulacan, which is powered entirely by renewable energy. This station ensures that Nestlé’s EV fleet runs on 100% renewable electricity, further reinforcing its commitment to sustainability. Charging EVs with renewable electricity eliminates emissions, setting a new standard for zero-emission logistics, in contrast to EVs charged with grid electricity, which emit approximately 0.68 kg of CO₂ per kWh.

Nestlé Philippines has already achieved 100% renewable electricity across all its sites, two years ahead of schedule, and continues to set ambitious sustainability goals. These include halving its greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and reaching net-zero by 2050. The company’s Net Zero Roadmap highlights its ongoing commitment to sustainable operations, responsible sourcing, and collaborative innovation.
